Signostics Management Team
Signostics’ Management Team has comprehensive representation in all functions, including Clinical Training and Support, Customer Support, Finance, Legal and Regulatory, Marketing, Manufacturing, Operations and Research & Development. Signostics’ co-founders include Neil Bartlett and Stewart Bartlett.
Neil Bartlett, MD
Co-founder, President & Chief Executive Officer
Dr. Bartlett is a co-founder of Signostics and responsible for the original vision of the Company. He has led Signostics through its critical early stage, overseeing business development, capital raising, strategy, and operations. He is a physician with a background in clinical practice and medical research as well as 15 years management experience. During this time, he was involved in project management, developing innovative hardware and software products, as well as global business development and marketing.
Dr Bartlett received a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering with Honors from Curtin University and Medical Degree with Honors from Flinders University. He also completed a Master of Business Administration from Deakin University. Dr. Bartlett has received numerous awards including the Vickers Hoskins Prize for top mechanical engineering graduate and the Novartis Prize for top graduate in Medicine.
Stewart Bartlett
Co-founder, Director & Chief Operating Officer
Mr. Bartlett is a co-founder of Signostics. He managed all product development and research at Signostics from inception, as well as making important contributions to strategy and business development. He has 20 years’ experience in product development and management. His experience includes manufacturing management, product commercialization, intellectual property, as well as sales and marketing. He held several management positions at Lake Technology Ltd, including managing director of a subsidiary responsible for licensing Lake’s technology to consumer electronics and personal computer manufacturers. He received a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering with Honors from Curtin University and a Master of Business Administration from The Australian Graduate School of Management.

Signostics’ Board of Directors currently consists of four independent members plus Executive Directors Neil Bartlett and Stewart Bartlett.
David Fisher
David is a founding partner of Brandon Capital Partners. David established its predecessor, Brandon Capital Management, the investment manager for three life sciences Pooled Development Funds in 1999. Prior to Brandon Capital, David was foundation CEO of Peptech Limited (now Arana Therapeutics ASX:AAH). Prior to Peptech, David spent ten years with Pharmacia AB (now part of Pfizer, Inc.), including five years at their head office in Sweden. David is a director of the three Pooled Development Funds established by Brandon Capital Management and a director of Nanosonics Ltd. He is also a past president of the Australian Biotechnology Association and past chairman of the CSIRO’s Division of Animal Production Industry Advisory Committee. He has a first class Honours degree in Rural Science, a PhD in Chemical Engineering from the University of Sydney and a Masters degree in Applied Finance and Investments from the Financial Services Institute of Australasia (Finsia). David is a Fellow of Finsia and a member of AusBiotech.
Amanda Heyworth
Amanda Heyworth is CEO of Playford Capital, an investor in Signostics. Playford Capital is the dominant early-stage technology investor in South Australia providing funding, strategic and operational support to investees. Amanda has worked for the Australian Stock Exchange in strategic development, and was the co-founder of a successful software company, along with positions as an accountant, investment banker and economic advisor in Australia and the United States. Amanda is a director of the $3b Savings & Loans Credit Union and formerly taught marketing at the Australian Graduate School of Management. She has a Bachelor of Arts (Accounting) from the South Australian Institute of Technology, a Graduate Certificate in Applied Finance from the Securities Institute, and a Master of Business Administration from the Australian Graduate School of Management.
Des Masters
Des Masters has had a 32-year career in banking in Australia, including several years responsible in corporate banking managing a portfolio of over $3 billion. Since retiring from corporate banking, Mr. Masters has been active in government and university assistance programs including managing the University of Adelaide’s enterprise education programs.
David M. Shaw
David M. Shaw has been in the medical device industry for 15 years and is presently affiliated with Monterey Advisors, Inc., a management, operations and investment consulting firm focused exclusively on medical technologies. Prior to Monterey Advisors, Mr. Shaw served for five years as Vice President, Legal Affairs and General Counsel of Kyphon Inc., a NASDAQ-traded medical device company focused on minimally invasive spinal therapies that was sold to Medtronic, Inc. in 2007 for $4.2 billion. Before Kyphon, Mr. Shaw held various senior legal positions at Intuitive Surgical, Inc., a medical robotics company. Mr. Shaw holds a B.S. summa cum laude in Chemical Engineering from North Carolina State University and a J.D. with high honors from Duke University School of Law and is a graduate of the Harvard Business School’s Advanced Management Program.
